SP0002 Ten Late Roman Bronze Coins - Average Grade

This lot is from a group of several hundred late Roman bronze coins
ranging from AE 4 up to follis size (mostly antoniniani, AE 3 and smaller folles).
A few Roman provincials and fourreé denarii have also been found in the group.
These are average quality coins, the remainder of the larger group from which select SP-0001 coins were segregated. Many of these coins really have quite good detail, obscured by adhering dirt and deposits. Notes on how we apply finishing touches, which takes us perhaps 5 minutes per coin, are included with each lot. Preliminary cleaning of these coins will be required to prepare them for this final step. This is a good study lot for the collector who wants to practice cleaning coins and removing deposits. Careful work will be rewarded by some nice specimens.
The image shows a sample of 10 coins, partly cleaned to better show their true condition and appearance. This is a reasonable sample of sizes and types.
